How credits work

Credits are the usage budget behind each plan. You do not need to estimate them upfront: Keldura shows your balance, the action cost, and examples before larger imports, chat, publishing, API, MCP, or team workflows spend credits.

How to read this page

  • Viewing, organizing, and reviewing existing knowledge is free.
  • Cheap actions, such as subtitled imports and standard cited chat, stretch a plan much further.
  • Expensive actions, such as raw upload transcription or premium models, use more credits because they cost more to run.
  • Plan cards show practical workloads; this page shows exact action prices.

Included free

  • Indexing for chat & searchIndexing your transcripts and imported documents so you can chat with them and search them is included free.
  • Reading & browsingViewing transcripts, documents, summaries, and your briefings never costs credits.
  • SearchSearching across your library and folders is free.
  • Suggested questionsThe auto-generated question suggestions shown when you open a folder are free.
  • Source suggestions“Track this source” monitor suggestions are free.

Example workload

In one month: import 20 hours of video, ask 100 cited questions, and run one published Bot with 500 owner-paid answers.

ActionCredits
Raw upload transcription equivalent20 hours of uploaded audio or video at 12 credits per hour240
Cited chat100 questions answered over your library at 2 credits each200
Published Bot / channel turns500 owner-paid answers from one published Bot, each billed like a standard cited chat turn today (2 credits)1,000
Estimated monthly credits1,440

Subtitled imports cost just 1 credit each, so they barely move the total. Published Bot and channel answers are billed like a standard cited chat turn today; that rate is still being finalized and may change. These figures are illustrative examples to show how actions add up — not a plan recommendation; your real usage and mix will differ.

A note on transcription

Transcription speed and quality vary by source, provider, language, audio quality, and whether subtitles are available. Keldura shows costs and status before expensive processing where possible.
